FansBet Betting Week #1

It has been some wait – 1372 days to be precise. That’s how long it’ll have been since Aston Villa have kicked a ball in the Premier League come Saturday evening. And although I’m not going to make any bold match predictions for our opener there are a couple of Heart of the Holte specials that I wish to draw your attention to.

Our partners at FansBet are offering 4/1 on the Villa to finish in the top 12 and they’ve got Wesley Moraes at 7/2 to score over 9 Premier League goals (max bet £25 on each).

There are still many a pundit writing us off this season. Today we saw Ian Abrahams, better known as Moose on TalkSport, predicting Villa to finish 19th as he thinks we’ve that “too many players have been added and it may take them too long to gel.” Whereas I prefer to think from an opposite angle. The wholesale changes we’ve made have been a necessity and many of these players have either played under Deano or with one another before. There’s a real buzz about the place and there’s a good chance that these players will feed off of the growing euphoria circling the B6 post code.

Wesley Moraes to notch double figures seems too good of a bet to turn down. For starters he’s likely to be our designated penalty taker and could easily grab a few from 12 yards. He’s a presence in the box and no defender will enjoy marking him – strong in the air and has a deceptive turn of foot.

Onto the acca’s and for the opening week I’m posting a treble, a 5-fold and a 5x BTTS (both teams to score).

TREBLE
FULHAM v Blackburn
Bolton v COVENTRY
AFC FYLDE v Chorley
3/1

5-FOLD
BOURNEMOUTH v Sheffield United

MANSFIELD v Morecambe
SUTTON v Chorley
22/1

BTTS

We are a non-profit fan page and make nothing from sign-ups or betting. However, our partnership does enable us to spend on community projects. Last season we sent a number of under-privileged families to watch Villa in action as well as donating £350 to Project B6 with thanks to FansBet as per this article here.

Please gamble responsibly and when the fun stops. Stop.
