After a much needed win at Burnley and an encouraging performance and result at Leicester in midweek, the horror show at Watford is thankfully beginning to be pushed towards the back of our minds. After a run of 4 consecutive away fixtures in all competitions, a return to Villa Park and home comforts is a welcome relief. Nevertheless with defending champions Manchester City in town, it’s not the straightforward welcome home we could perhaps have wanted.
In advance of another huge clash for Villa in our current relegation battle, we sought the City perspective on the tie from Richard Dugdale (@ignoblewretch) from Man City Xtra (@City_Xtra). Here’s what he had to say.
We are back! After a break in the betting series as there’s normally little value to be found… we’re now back to domestic action with a full compliment of fixtures to choose from.
Prior to the break we found ourselves a little unlucky on the 13/2 4-fold (+5% boost with our partners FansBet) as Hartlepool made their 660 mile round-trip to Yeovil count with a 2-1 win – and in doing so dashed our dreams of profitville.
Today we’ve got a few more tips lined up for you along with our Villa Specials – the Albion and Blues to lose and the Villa to win looks a good one!
One thing is for sure… we’re no longer getting on Mansfield! They were one of my tips to go well in League Two this season and after a bumpy start I thought that their fightback from 2-0 down against Morecambe to land a point and the win at Carlisle might’ve been a turning point. And despite then slipping to a midweek defeat versus Leyton Orient, I was confident that they’d bounce back at home to Stevenage before playing out an uncharacteristic goalless draw. No more ‘to win’ money on them… but they are usually good for a goal!
This week we’ve got the usual 5-fold and 4-fold acca’s along with the BTTS 6-fold. Added in for good measure is a couple of Heart of the Holte ‘Villa Specials’ ahead of our trip to Crystal Palace plus some succulent boosts by our partners over at FansBet.
It’s Friday night lights at Villa Park this week, and with it, an opportunity to move on from the frustrating defeat at the hands of Bournemouth on Saturday. This time, Everton are the visitors and it’s a welcome return of two famous old clubs locking horns in the top flight.
In advance of the match we here at Heart of the Holte sought the opinions of Dave Whitehead from agrandoldteam.com (@grandoldteam) (click here to check them out) to give us the lowdown on things from a Toffee’s perspective.
